I am student which have successful capture many styles of which have been present as tasks. My strengths which have discovered are still-life, movement and portraiture. Another idea in which I want to be successful in is minimal photography specifically focusing on architecture with focus on the community which the photographs are taken. The sole focus is not entirely on architecture, but also on ordinary objects such as lamps, bins and pipes as they also define what a place look like and how it feels. Places like Strathfield are predominantly Korean, while the city is just an all-rounder for all cultures. Places where I would like to go and observe places with buildings are Strathfield, Newtown and the Sydney specifically the city’s center. Structural, I want to creating a body of work which involves lots of negative space to give a greater view for the audience; yet creating overlapping colours so they look tangible when they are closer. I also want to use brighter colours in my photographs as we associate bright colours with newer objects, the secondary colours (which are used by Nick Frank) will places with the colours which overlap as the layers will build to create the photo. In my use of Photoshop, which falls under the category of post-modern, by manipulating the photo I can give it more of a depth as this will aid me in overlapping the accents. My idea for this is that as stated above; to focus on architecture, the way people have worked to design it; this is one of my inspirations as many people have had ideas on what a build would look like and most may seem ordinary but can easily be brought into new life and view differently. For example, by using singular perspective we can focus on certain parts which have been designed and give the audience a puzzle to figure out where the place is. My actions are to walk around the neighbors of places with high-rise buildings and photograph them and give a sense of depth that I am involved in my own work. This may take a while as I also want to talk the photographs from different perspectives; from one side of the building to the other. I also want communities to play a big part in the body of work as buildings can define an area, if the place had graffiti on the walls, people would think ‘this place is not safe.’ In a way I want my body of work to be like a brochure for people to visit. A way to promote travel and friendly relations between communities.
